Thrivent Choice – each member with Thrivent Insurance will be receiving a letter asking them to designate what ministries they would like to donate their “matching funds” to. This Replaces Thrivent’s former matching funds program. There are other ministries you may choose, and you may divide your dollars among more than one, we encourage all members to designate St. Peter’s for at least part of your funds. What happens when you don’t let a Lutheran campus ministry know about your college-bound student? The studen will: A. find another campus ministry on his/her own, B. go with a friend, C. risk disconnection with the church and with Jesus – and assume the church doesn’t care. The most likely answer is C. Help us minister to you student! Visit www.lcmscampusministry.org today and connect through the StudentConnect service. It’s free – and can make a difference. An LCMS Pastor or campus ministry worker from the campus community will contact the stucent personally and offer some information about the local Lutheran campus ministry and how to get involved there. When your college bound student gets connected to a ministry, their faith grows, they engage in building up the body of Christ, and they reach out to their campus community with the love and power of God.
Active Christian Teens: Sponsors are still needed. Two couples could be co-sponsors together to ease the load. You need not have a high school student in your family to serve. If we get no volunteers, Pastor and the Elders will start calling parents, so please prayerfully consider serving the Lord in this way.
PLAN AHEAD!!! St. Peter's LWML will be hosting its' first ever Fall Bazaar. If you have a generous heart and have items to donate, we'd be thankful. We hope to sell baked goods, garden produce, canned goods, sewn items, needle work, wood crafts, and other craft items etc. A meal will accompany this event. Our aim is to make money for mission projects. If you have nothing to donate, please plan to attend, and help make this a success. Watch your future bulletins for more information. Thank you.
